Facilities Team
Thanksgiving Church is blessed with a beautiful campus and you can serve with us as we care for it! Whether you enjoy cleaning, organizing, working outdoors, or supporting events, there’s a place for you on the Facility Assistance and Service Team (FAST). No experience is required, and all training and equipment are provided.

Ability to stand, reach, bend, or walk depending on the role.
Facilities Team Opportunities:
Dusting – Weekly or Monthly
Help keep worship and community spaces clean and inviting. (2 hrs. / wk. or mo.)
Key Tasks:
Dust reachable or elevated surfaces depending on team
Use cleaning supplies safely
Assist with setup/teardown of cleaning equipment
Vacuuming – Weekly
Support a clean and healthy environment in carpeted areas. (3 hrs. / wk.)
Key Tasks:
Vacuum all carpeted surfaces
Use equipment safely
Report damaged items
Hard Floor Cleaning – Weekly
Keep high‑traffic areas fresh and welcoming. (3 hrs. per wk.)
Key Tasks:
Sweep/dust‑mop hard floors
Wet mop kitchens, pantries, and bathrooms
Use floor scrubber as needed
Window Cleaning – Weekly & Monthly
Let natural light shine throughout our campus. (2-3 hrs. / wk. or mo.)
Key Tasks:
Wash lower or upper window panes (interior/exterior)
Wipe sills and frames
Report damaged windows
Landscaping – Monthly
Help maintain a beautiful campus exterior. (3-4 hrs. per wk. or mo.)
Key Tasks:
Remove weeds
Trim plants as directed
Dispose of landscaping waste
Lawn Care – Weekly
Care for campus grounds and surrounding areas. (3-4 hrs. per wk. or mo.)
Key Tasks:
Mow and trim campus lawns
Maintain the adjacent property
Clear grass clippings from concrete
Snow Removal – As Needed
Ensure safe access during winter weather. (Hours vary)
Key Tasks:
Remove snow from sidewalks, ramps, and entry points
Apply salt or approved material to improve traction
Use provided snow‑removal equipment
Event Support Opportunities
Event Setup & Teardown (As Needed).
Make worship, fellowship, and community events run smoothly. (1-2 hrs. per event)
Key Tasks:
Arrange tables, chairs, banners, and signs
Wipe down and reset rooms after events
Collect trash and replace liners
FAST Team Coordinator
Help with administrative coordination across FAST volunteers. (1-2 hrs. per week)
Key Tasks:
Coordinate, schedule, and communicate with FAST Team volunteers to ensure adequate staffing for facility support needs, events, and ministry activities.
Assist with recruiting, training, and encouraging volunteers while maintaining schedules, contact information, and ongoing team engagement.
Partner with the Facility Manager to identify staffing needs, provide volunteer coverage, and support safe, welcoming, and ministry-focused environments.
