What did Jesus Really Say?
Reading the Bible for Life Transformation
Saturday, September 12 | 9:00-11:30am | Thanksgiving Church
More people than ever claim to speak for Jesus—yet their messages couldn’t be more different. Some say He championed social justice. Others insist His focus was unconditional love. Still others call Him a moral teacher, a prophet, the Messiah, or the Savior of the world. With so many voices, it’s natural to wonder: Who’s actually right?
You may hear people saying, Read the bible to find the answer. It sounds simple, but many sincere Christians admit it isn’t. Scripture comes from another language, culture, and time. Jesus taught through stories and metaphors that don’t always land clearly today. Add countless translations, teachers, podcasts, and online opinions, and it’s easy to think, I’m not sure I understand what Jesus was really saying.
Maybe you’ve set your Bible aside, hoping someday you’ll dig deeper when you have more time. Maybe now is the time.
Thanksgiving Church is partnering with Pastor Bruce Kotila, executive director of God’s Living Stones and former discipleship pastor at Thanksgiving Church, to bring you a morning of worship, teaching and discussion.
Join us for a morning centered around one essential question: What did Jesus really say?
Everyone is welcome and there is no cost.
We ask that you register to help us plan for snacks and materials.
